Challenge

DataStream Cyber Insurance was struggling to convert website visitors into customers.

Their long quote form discouraged users from completing it, and many felt overwhelmed choosing coverage and finding the right carrier. Their website left potential customers uncertain, reducing trust and increasing drop-offs.

Process

Our first step was understanding the customers' pain points through thorough user research. We ran a series of user tests on the existing flow, pinpointing the exact moments when users felt frustrated or confused. This deep understanding gave us a clear direction to redesign a flow that truly addressed their needs.

Solution

Based on the user research, we redesigned the entire form experience:

  • We broke the form into simple steps and added a progress bar to show users where they are, making it feel quicker and easier to complete.
  • To reduce uncertainty, we added a screen explaining how we calculate coverage and showed what similar companies chose.
  • We included a section with the top three recommended policies and explained why each one could be a good fit.

The redesign increased customer confidence and trust, leading to a 44% increase in conversions only 3 months after launch.
